Prof. BURHAN ÖZKAN

Biography

Prof. Dr Burhan Ozkan is a professor of Agricultural Economics at Akdeniz University, Antalya, Turkey. He holds an MSc from Reading University (UK) and a PhD from Cukurova University. His principal areas of research are agricultural business management, production economics, energy economics, and food security. He has authored over 300 publications, including 250 refereed international journal articles. He is the founder of the Department of Agricultural Economics at Akdeniz University and has chaired the Department for more than 15 years. He served as Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Director of the Lifelong Center, Coordinator of the Bologna Process and International Relations Office of the Akdeniz University, and he acted as Advisor to the Rector of the Akdeniz University. Currently, he is chair of the Agribusiness Management Division within the Department and he is a member of the Research Development and Coordination Board (RDCB) of Akdeniz University, and he is Director of Social Sciences at the Vocational School of Akdeniz University.
