Özet
Surface and ground water resources of Turkey are 110 billion m(3). The average per capita water availability in Turkey is about 1,735 m(3) per year which is considerably less than the world average that is nearly 7,000 m(3). By 2025, the water availability is projected to have decreased to 1,300 m(3)/person/year. As of 2000, the total water consumption is 42,000 million m(3); 75 % of this amount is used for irrigation, 15 % for domestic consumption and 10 % for industrial purposes.
