Biography

Mayıs 1977 doğumlu Özgür Aktürk, ilk orta ve lise öğrenimini Ankara’nın çeşitli okullarında tamamladıktan sonra, 2001 yılında Ankara Üniversitesi Mühendislik Fakültesi Jeoloji Mühendisliği Bölümü’nden mezun olmuştur. Aynı yıl Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi Jeoloji Mühendisliği Bölümü’nde Yüksek Lisansına başlamış ve yabancı dil hazırlık sınıfına devam etmiştir. Aynı Üniversitede 2002 yılında Araştırma Görevlisi olarak atanmıştır. 2005-2006 yılları arasında Amerika Birleşik Devletleri Tennessee Üniversitesi’nde araştırmacı olarak bulunmuş ve 2010 yılında ODTÜ’nde doktorasını tamamlamıştır. 2011 yılında Akdeniz Üniversitesi Jeoloji Mühendisliği Bölümü’ne Yardımcı Doçent Dr. olarak atanmış ve halen aynı görevi sürdürmektedir. 2015 yılında Akdeniz Üniversitesi TEKNOKENT bünyesinde kurduğu JeoTasarım Proje ve Mühendislik firması ile AR-GE faaliyetlerinde bulunmuş ve özellikle Devlet Su İşleri’nin gölet, taşkın koruma, havza modeli vb. projelerinde çalışarak özel sektör tecrübesi edinmiştir. Evli ve bir kız çocuk babasıdır.
