Dünya mermer sektöründe yaşanılan önemli sorunlar, ülkemiz mermer sektöründe yaşanılan sektör sorunları ile aynı özellikler gösterir. Mermerciliğe olan talebin artışı, mermercilik sektöründeki sorunların artmasına sebep olmaktadır. Bu alanda tüketimin artışı, standartlara uygun mermer rezervlerinin tükenmesi korkusunu beraberinde getirmektedir. Özellikle, blok ve işlenmiş mermerin önem dereceleri tartılıştır hale gelmiştir. Bu nedenle, blok mermer satışları ile işlenmiş mermer satışlarında, ülke politikasının belirlenmesi önemlidir. Ülkemiz 2014 yılı ihracat verilerine göre, ham mermer yüzde 70,2 oranında ve satış bedeli 975.959.000 dolar. Aynı yıl, işlenmiş mermer yüzde 29,8 oranında ve satış bedeli 1.073.306.000 dolar olarak hesaplanmıştır. Ülkemizde, ihracat verilerine göre ham mermer ve işlenmiş mermer satış bedelleri arasında ciddi fark olduğu düşünülmüştür. 1 ton blok satış bedelinin yaklaşık 300 $ (dolar) ve işlenmiş mermer metrekaresinin yaklaşık 65-70$’lık fiyatlara satılabilmesi durumunda, ihracat yüzde değerleri ile satış bedellerinin doğrusal orantılı olabileceği düşünülmüştür.
The major problems experienced in the world marble sector are the same as the problems experienced in our country marble sector. The increase in demand for mining has caused problems in the marble sector. The increase in the consumption of this area causes the fear that the marble reserves in accordance with the standards will be exhausted. In particular, the importance of block and processed marble has become debatable. For this reason, it is important to specify the country policy in marble sales of block marble and processed marble. According to our country export data in 2014, raw marble sales was 70,2% and sales price was 975.959.000 dollars. In the same year, processed marble sales was calculated as 29,8% and the sale price was 1.073.306.000 dollars. It is thought that there is a serious difference between the sales prices of raw marble and processed marble according to the export data of our country. It is also thought that the export percentage values and the sales prices may be linearly proportional if the sales price of 1 ton block is about 300 dollars and the processed marble can be sold at about 65-70 $ for per square meter.
