Biography

Dr. Mehmet Kayakuş completed his undergraduate education at Marmara University, Department of Computer and Control Education, in 2006. In 2010, he received his master's degree from Süleyman Demirel University, Department of Computer Electronics, and in 2018, he received his PhD degree from the Department of Computer Engineering. Dr Kayakuş started his academic career as a lecturer in the Department of Computer Programming at Akdeniz University in 2010, and in 2018, he was appointed as an assistant professor in the Department of Management Information Systems at Akdeniz University. In 2023, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor in the field of computer engineering.

Dr Kayakuş teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data mining, text mining, algorithms (Python) and object-orientated programming (Java). His research interests include artificial intelligence applications in communication sciences and machine learning-based analyses in finance and econometrics. He has expertise in the Python, and Java programming languages.

Dr Kayakuş has 11 national and international research projects in which he is the lead or researcher. In addition, he has published over 80 international articles, more than 30 of which are in SCI journals; he has given invited talks at various scientific conferences and authored book chapters.
