Abstract: This article claims that Leonardo da Vinci had a systematic philosophical thought. The article discusses its main claim in two stages. In the first stage, the structure of the texts which are claimed to consist of philosophical thoughts that are identifiable as having systematic integrity, and the historical significance of Leonardo's philosophy are discussed. In the second stage the article presents some of the identified fundamental features of his philosophy that he established by considering Painting not just as an art but also as a science and philosophy, under four subjects. Firstly, Leonardo's presentation of the Painting as a science-art-philosophy structure in order to reveal the truth explicitly is approached. Secondly, a multi-dimensional and complete approach to the truth in this understanding is examined in terms of Leonardo's relationship with different fields and his understanding of "Nature". Thirdly, Leonardo's philosophy is discussed as a mechanistic understanding of nature, which comprehends and realizes the process of nature within its own process, and a kind of philosophy that is based on experience. Lastly, his concept of "love" is discussed, especially concerning "God" and "knowledge", as a structure that is increased with the knowledge of the whole and knowledge of the parts that is based on this knowledge of the whole, as opposed to the study of only parts. As a result, it is stated that Leonardo da Vinci had a unique systematic philosophy, as it meets the philosophical-historical criteria and it is demonstrated that some of its basic features can be identified.
