Abstract

The study area is located in southwestern Antalya and northern Kemer. In this study, organic geochemical characteristics of Carboniferous coaly units in the Pamucakyayla region (Kemer, Antalya-Turkey) were examined. The Carboniferous Pamucakyayla Formation, which is characterized by medium-thick bedded sandstone, claystone, marl and coaly units, conformably overlies the Devonian Hocaninsuyu Formation and is unconformably covered with Permian Dinek Formation. Pamucakyayla Formation includes different levels of coal seams in different thicknesses.
