Burke’çü anlamda yüce, şiir kişisinin, doğada gördüğü tekil nesnelere odaklanıp bu nesnelerin arkasında yatan bütüncül metafizik yapının izlerini görebilme ya da doğada görülen nesneler aracılığıyla aşkınlığı deneyimleme çabası olarak tanımlanabilir. Bu deneyim aynı zamanda modernitede, ampirizm ve pozitivizm ile birlikte ortaya çıkan insan ve doğa kategorilerini epistemolojik bağlamda sorunsallaştırır çünkü ikisi arasında oluşmuş kopukluğu gidermeye hizmet eder. Bu bildiri odak noktası olarak, yüce deneyiminde şiir kişisinde gerçekleşen psişik metamorfozu alır. Bu çalışmada yüce deneyiminin Lacan’ın jouissance olarak adlandırdığı bilinçdışı haz deneyimiyle örtüştüğü fikrinden yola çıkılarak, şiir kişisinin simgeseldeki konumundan, imgeleminin etkisiyle, ego ideali düzleminin kısa bir süreliğine bozulduğu imgesel bir boyuta geçtiği savunulur. In the experience of the Burkean sublime, the poetic persona attempted to go beyond the particular phenomenon to be able to see the traces of the unitary metaphysical frame lying beyond or tried to achieve transcendence through the visible objects. This experience problematized the category of man and nature that came into being along with empiricism and positivism in modernity as it served to bridge up the rupture between them. This paper focuses on the psychic metamorphosis in the poetic persona during the experience of the Burkean sublime. Taking the overlap between the experience of the sublime and the Lacanian jouissance as its starting point, it argues that under the influence of his/her imagination, the poetic persona moves from the symbolic register to the imaginary register where his/her ego ideal is suspended during the experience of the sublime.
