Özet

In vitro propagation of grapevine was studied by using axillary buds of the promising grapevine cultivars, 'Marechal Foch' and 'Lacrosse'. The medium (MS and NN) and cytokinin treatments (BA, TDZ, and 2iP) in combination with IBA were found to differently affect the success of micropropagation of these cultivars. For both cultivars, MS medium was superior to NN medium for leaf and shoot formation from axillary buds. The best shoot and leaf formation was obtained with 2iP at 12.3 μM and 24.6 μM and BA at 8.88 μM in MS medium for 'Marechal Foch'. However, 2iP at 24.6 μM in either medium, 2iP at 12.3 μM in NN medium and BA at 8.88 μM in MS medium showed the best performance for 'Lacrosse'. For root formation, with the exception of 2iP, all cytokinins exhibited inhibitory effects on root development for both cultivars. In general, 'Marechal Foch' seemed more amenable to propagation in vitro than 'Lacrosse'. © Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
