Climate change poses a threat of the life on earth. Humankind is both the cause and the victim of distruction of nature. Nonetheless, it is the most vulnerable groups, namely older people, women, children, people with disabilities, the poor, ethnic and religious minorities who are faced with the most adverse effects of climate change. Therefore, the United Nations Human Rights Council in Resolution no:44/7, has asked the office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) to conduct, with input and participation of states and relevant stakeholders, a study on the promotion and protection of the rights of older persons in the context of climate change. In response to OHCHR's appeal; Senex Association for aging studies has prepared an analytic report titled 'Senex Report: The Impact of Climate Change on the Rights of Older Persons in Turkey'. Senex Report of Turkey adresses questions posed under the seven headings on the OHCHR's report regarding rights violation of older persons on the context of climate change.
