This case series reports the root canal treatment of five
maxillary second molars with double palatal roots. Maxillary
second molars are usually three-rooted, but rare cases may
demonstrate the presence of four roots. Although this
morphology is uncommon in clinical settings, a clinician should
understand the complexities involved in the management of
such cases
