Abstract

Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis is characterized by fever, hepatosplenomegaly, cytopenia, hyper-triglyceridemia, hypofibrinogenemia, and hemophagocytosis. Ascites is not mentioned as a symptom of hemophagocytic syndrome. We report a one month-old girl suffering from familial erythrophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis, who presented with ascites.
