Özet

The main purpose of the study is to examine the views of students of postgraduate education in the field of Theology about the duration of the Covid-19 pandemic and the educational practices in this process. The study can be used in accordance with the convergent parallel pattern from mixed method studies. In this framework, quantitative data were collected with the help of the questionnaire, and structured with qualitative data through interviews. The continuation of the study was obtained online from 145 graduate students from Marmara, Istanbul, Kocaeli, Bursa Uludag, Ataturk, Sivas Cumhuriyet, Recep Tayyip Erdogan Universities. 56 of them are men and 89 of them are women who participated in the research. In the qualitative dimension of the study, a structured interview was conducted with 11 students, 6 women and 5 men. Within the framework of the findings, it is seen that external students who continue their undergraduate education in the field of theology have generally positive opinions about distance education. Although the sudden transition to distance education due to the pandemic caught students and academicians unprepared, it was found that both the student and the lecturer adapted to the situation in a short time.
