Özet

Sustainability of the building sector necessitates application of energy efficiency measures and renewable energy technologies. Building sector occupies a significant

share in the global energy use and carbon emissions. In order to achieve netzero energy and low carbon footprint targets in residential buildings optimization of

design and construction integrated with the local climatic conditions are required. Energy-efficient and renewable energy-supported buildings in tropical climates can

contribute to the depletion of energy consumption of the residential area, reduction of pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions, and mitigation of global warming.
