Manisa province has an important place in Turkey in terms of the number of endemic species.
The aim of this study is to identify the endemic plants collected at the end of field studies in Manisa
province at different times and to determine the IUCN threat categories. The material of this study
consists of plant samples collected within the scope of various floristic field studies carried out in Manisa
between 2016-2018. Collected samples were dried according to standard herbarium techniques and
preserved in the Pamukkale University herbarium (PAMUH). The Flora of Turkey and the other related
floras were utilised in the identification of the specimens. 20 endemic taxa are identified at the end of
the study. The conservation status of endemic taxa were also reported according to Red Data Book of
Turkish Plants and revised according to IUCN Red List Categories. According to the threat categories
assigned by IUCN in Red Data Book of Turkish Plants, 11 (% 55) of these plants belong to the Least
Concern (LC), 4 (% 20) of them Near Threatened (NT), 2 (% 10) of them Vulnerable (VU), 2 (% 10) of
them Endangered (EN), 1 (% 5) of them Critically Endangered (CR) have been found.
