The world economy has changed profoundly over the past three decades, and new political strategies for national development have appeared accordingly. It is becoming more competitive, more global and increasingly dominated by information and communication technology. As a result, the issue of a common language plays the primary role within the globalization process while exchanging information. This study identifies the attitudes of university students towards the link between globalization and the globally used language, English. It also explores the departmental and the regional differences and investigates the approach of the students based on their gender and family background.
