The current study, grounded in social exchange theory (SET), examined how residents' perceptions of tourism impact their willingness to invest in tourism. Data were collected from residents who reside in Antalya for at least one year via an online questionnaire, utilizing the snowball sampling method. Initially, factors influencing residents' perceptions of tourism were identifled through Exploratory Factor Analysis, followed by Conflrmatory Factor Analysis to validate these factors. Hierarchical regression analysis was then conducted to test the hypotheses in multiple stages. The flndings of the study supported the hypotheses, indicating that residents' positive perceptions of the economic, social, and environmental beneflts of tourism increase their motivation to invest in the tourism industry.
