Abstract

Nitric oxide (NO) is a biologic effector molecule with a broad range of activities. In macrophages, it functions as a potent microbicidal agent that kills ingested organisms. In this article, antimicrobial effect of NO and interaction of NO between antimicrobials and microorganisms were discussed.
