Özet
The therapeutic use of plants is considered one of the oldest practices in human history. Traditional knowledge systems have, over the centuries, demonstrated the remarkable health effects of specific plant species, based on experiences and practices passed down from generation to generation. In this context, Hypericum perforatum L. (St. John’s Wort) stands out as a versatile medicinal plant with cultural and medicinal value, having found a place in both European and Asian folk medicine practices (Nobakht et al., 2025; Tavli et al., 2025).
