Abstract

In 50 patients treated from January 1998 through March 2002 for pericardial effusion and tamponade, we retrospectively investigated the efficacy of percutanecus placement of an indwelling pericardial catheter guided by 2-dimensional echocardiography and fluoroscopy We also investigated causation.
