Özet

Convulsive status epilepticus (CSE) is a common neurological emergency in childhood. Although it is easy to diagnose CSE with clinical findings, EEG (electroencephalography) is indispensable for the diagnosis of nonconvulsive status epilepticus (NCSE) as the clinical signs (if any) are most often subtle and nonspecific. Recently new EEG criteria for the diagnosis of NCSE have been proposed. In this review diagnosis of NCSE and EEG findings of NCSE are discussed.
