Today, health system in Turkey has been undergoing radical reforms. In this framework, current social security and social assistance institutions have been merging under Social Security Institution and the "general health insurance" system is being adopted. Moreover, while the "family practice" system is being introduced in primary health services, the "health business administration" is being adopted in the secondary and tertiary health institutions. The restructuring the Ministry of Health is also among future projects. It is observed that these reforms are basically "liberal" social policy-oriented and that such an approach increase inequalities.
