Bu makalede Sabbân’ın (öl. 1206/1792) Üşmûnî’ye (öl. 918/1513) ait Elfiyye şerhi üzerine yazdığı hâşiyesindeki nahiv terimlerini ele alış biçimi incelenmektedir. Araştırmada haşiyede bulunan nahiv terimlerine odaklanılmış, gramere ilişkin kurallar çalışmanın kapsamı dışında tutulmuştur. Nitel araştırma tekniklerinden doküman analizi metodu esas alınarak yapılan bu çalışmada ilk olarak terim kavramı ele alınmış ve nahiv ilminde kullanılan terimlerden bahsedilmiştir. Ardından Sabbân’ın nahiv terimlerine yaklaşımı tarama ve tasnif yöntemleriyle belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Yapılan araştırmada Sabbân’ın nahiv terimlerine ihtilaf odaklı ve disiplinler arası bir yaklaşım sergilediği sonucuna varılmıştır. Onun ihtilaf odaklı yaklaşımında ön plana çıkan husus, gramer terimlerine dair ihtilaflara öz bir şekilde yer vermesi bununla birlikte salt nakille yetinmeyip aynı zamanda kendine özgü tercihler üretebilmesidir. Ayrıca Sabbân’ın nahiv ıstılahlarını açıklarken sahip olduğu ilmî müktesebatı da kullandığı, terimleri lügat, belâgat ve mantık ilimlerine dair veriler ışığında analiz ettiği tespit edilmiştir. Makalenin nahiv disiplininde terminoloji alanında çalışma yürütecek araştırmacılara katkı sunması ön görülmektedir.
In this article, Sabbân's (d. 1206/1792) treatment of grammar terms in his annotation on the Elfiyye commentary of Üşmûnî (d. 918/1513) is examined. The research focused on the syntax terms found in the annotation, and grammatical rules were excluded from the scope of the study. In this study, which was based on the document analysis method, one of the qualitative research techniques, the concept of terminology was first discussed and the terms used in the science of grammar were mentioned. Then, Sabbân's approach to syntax terms was tried to be determined by scanning and classification methods. The research concluded that Sabbân exhibited a conflict-oriented and interdisciplinary approach to syntax terms. What stands out in his controversy-oriented approach is that he includes concisely the disputes about grammatical terms, and that he is not satisfied with mere transfer, but also produces his own unique preferences. In addition, it has been determined that Sabbân used his scientific acquis when explaining grammar terms and analyzed the terms in the light of data on dictionary, rhetoric and logic sciences. It is expected that the article will contribute to researchers who will work in the field of terminology in the discipline of grammar.
