In this study, the effect of the biomass share on CO, NOx and SO2 emissions are investigated to reveal the benefits of co-firing biomass and coal in CFBs by using a developed model. The results are compared with two published comprehensive data sets. The results show that CO, NOx and SO2 emissions decrease as the biomass share increases for industrial scale CFB combustors.
