Özet: Gençlik dönemi, kimliğin şekillenmeye başladığı ve yoğun olarak gencin “kendini tanıma” ve kim olduğu üzerine düşündüğü bir dönemdir. Bu dönemde aile, toplumsal ortam ve çevreyle kurulan ilişkiler önemli rol oynar. Özellikle kurulan ilişkilerin niteliği, iletişim biçimi ve hedeflenen amaçlar genç kimliğinin oluşmasına katkıda bulunur. Yaşanan bu süreç içerisinde bağımlılık bir ‘değer” ya da ‘çaresizlik’ sonucu genç kimliği üzerinde kendini hissettirebilir. Bu çalışmada, genç ve genç kimliğinin uyuşturucu madde bağımlılığı karşısındaki durumunun sosyolojik analizi yapılmaya çalışılacaktır. Bir Rüya İçin Ağıt Filmi’nin içerik analizi, çalışmanın veri kaynağını oluşturmaktadır. Filmden alınan kareler aracılığıyla genç ve madde bağımlığı ilişkisi “kullanan ve kullanılan” bağlamında tartışılacaktır.

Abstract: Youth is a stage at which identity begins to take shape and the young person runinates on “knowing himself/herself” and identifying who he/she is. In this period, relationships with the family and the social environment play a significant role. Especially the nature and form of these relationships and the aimed objectives contribute to the formation of the identity of the young individual. In this process, addiction may be influential on the identity of the young as a consequence of “loss of value” or “despair”. This study will introduce the sociological analysis of the youth and youth identity in the presence of drug addiction. The content analysis of the movie Requiem for a Dream will constitute the data source of the study. Through selected frames from the movie, the relationship between the young and drug addiction will be discussed in the context of “the abuser and the abused”.
