Mobile Asthma Monitoring and Assessment System (MAMAS), based on the use of mobile phones, has been designed and developed for the monitoring and self-management of asthma. In order to improve the design and development of the system, continued evaluation is needed throughout the system development lifecycle. This paper presents the results of the heuristic evaluation of MAMAS. The motivation to conduct this heuristic evaluation was to uncover usability violations in the user interface prototypes of MAMAS in an efficient yet effective manner. Based on the evaluation, system changes and future researches were planned.
