Abstract

 In this study, aimed to determine the geophytes flora of Manisa province in Turkey. Geophyte taxa have been collected especially in autumn and spring seasons between 2016-2018. Geophyte species were dried according to standard herbarium techniques and preserved in the Pamukkale University herbarium (PAMUH). The Flora of Turkey and the other related floras were utilised in the identification of the specimens and also confirmed by the herbarium samples. As a result of this research,10 families, 23 genera and 30 taxa were identified in this study area. These families are Amaryllidaceae, Araceae, Asparagaceae, Colchicaceae, Geraniaceae, Iridaceae, Liliaceae, Orchidaceae, Paeoniaceae and Primulaceae. In addition, 2 taxa was determined to belong Amaryllidaceae, 1 taxon to Araceae, 5 taxa to Asparagaceae, 2 taxa Colchicaceae, 1 taxon to Geraniaceae, 5 taxa to Iridaceae, 5 taxa to Liliaceae, 7 taxa to Orchidaceae, 1 taxon to Paeoniaceae and 1 taxon to Primulaceae.
