Özet

Beside successful public relations studies from past to present, many negative examples have been came across. However, in the 2000s, the public relations profession became more recognized and professional practitioners gained a deeper understanding of the profession's principles. This resulted in gaining importance of ethic practices in public relations over time. In this study, the image of public relations practioners created in the target audience's eye is discussed from the point of public relations profession is presented in the films. In the literature section, public relations profession, characteristics of public relations practitioners and ethical issues are discussed. In the research section, the public relations practitioner's discourse and behaviors were examined in line with the International Public Relations Association's (IPRA) Code of Conduct in films where Public Relations and Publicity practices were represented in Turkish and English languages in 2000s and beyond.
