Özet

Plant materials are an important part in landscaping and in creating new places and accordingly perennial plants are one of the large material groups widely used in planting design to maintain a sustainable relationship between man and nature. In recent years conservation of natural resources has become a key issue for sustainability in landscaping and native plants can contribute to this in an important way. Native herbaceous perennials from Termessos National Park, Antalya, Turkey were evaluated regarding to their colour in red, yellow, purple, pink and white respectively. Varieties in colour, plant height, flowering time, habitat and growing altitude of these species showed us that there is great potential of native herbaceous perennials to create plant compositions that are well maintained, attractive, dynamic for advancing year around landscapes.
