The purpose of this research is to examine social workers working in the health field in Turkey, regard to several variables of evidence-based practice. The research was carried out in quantitative, screening model. 303 social workers participated in the research. Demographic information questionnaire, the questionnaire containing various questions related to the evidence-based practice and the Evidence-Based Practice Scale consisting of 28 items were used as data collection tools. As a result of the analyzes carried out, the average score obtained by the participants from the Evidence-Based Practice Scale does not differ significantly according to gender, marital status, educational status and whether a course about evidence based practice was taken during undergraduate education. However, the average score obtained from the evidence-based practice scale varies according to the frequency of the participants to follow scientific journals, frequency of following professional research and developments, skill level of using technology. And the average scores obtained from the evidence-based practice scale differ according to the degree of liking the profession, whether or not a scientific research has been conducted before, whether a special (paid) training for professional development has been received before. It is predicted that the findings obtained as a result of the research will provide a better understanding of the evidence-based practice in the social work sample.
