Özet

Bu çalışma toplumsal sözleşme teorisinde din-siyaset ilişkisinin nasıl konumlan- dırmış olduğunu analiz etmektedir. On yedi ve on sekizinci yüzyılda Thomas Hobbes, John Locke ve Jean-Jacques Rousseau gibi düşünürlerin terminolojisini belirlemiş olduğu sözleşme teorisi, klasik aristokratik monarşi ve kilisenin gele- neksel hükümranlık argümanlarıyla hesaplaşmıştır. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı bu hesaplaşmanın din-siyaset ilişkileri konusunda modern siyaset felsefesine nasıl bir düzlem sunmuş olduğunu analiz etmektedir.

Contract Theory. During the 17th and 18th centuries, the terminology of Social Contract was developed by many thinkers of the age such as Thomas Hobbes, John Locke and Jean-Jacques Rousseau to counter the classic empery arguments of both the aristocratic monarchy and of the church. The principal aim of this study is to investigate and analyze how this theoretic position has linked itself to modern-day political philosophy on religious and political relations.
