Özet

We have very limited knowledge about aotuimmune bullous disesases which are important causes of morbidity and mortality. They are generally rare disases in population. The yearly over all incidences of pemphigus and bullous pemhigoid are between 0.5 to 16.1/million and 2.5 to 42.8/million, respectively. Pemphigus vulgaris is the major type of pemphigus and it is most prevalent between ages of 40 and 50. Bullous pemphigoid is tpypically most prevalent in ages of over 70. In this review the results obtained from the studies which are especially about epidemiology of pemphigus and bullous pemphigoid were analised according to geographic regions.
