Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı bir hemşirelik araştırma projesinde kullanılan video-yansıtma metodunun katılımcılar tarafından değerlendirilmesidir Yöntem: Çalışma bir metodoloji değerlendirme araştırması olarak yürütülmüştür. Bu çalışmada video-yansıtmalı katılımcı eylem araştırması olarak yürütülen başka bir hemşirelik araştırmasının katılımcılarından video-yansıtma yöntemini değerlendirmeleri istenmiştir. Bu amaçla yöntemin uygulandığı 19 katılımcı ile görüşmeler yapılmış ve elde edilen veriler nitel analize tabi tutulmuştur. Bulgular: Çalışma sonuçlarına göre katılımcıların video-yansıtma metodu ile ilgili değerlendirmeleri “Video Yansıtmanın İzdüşümü” başlığıyla bir çekirdek kategori altında incelenmiştir. Bu çekirdek kategori altında ise metodun olumlu yönleri ve olumsuz yönleri olmak üzere iki tema oluşmuştur. Metodun olumlu yönleri: 1-Yansıtma yapılan yaşantıyı anlamlandırma ve açıklaştırma, 2-Olumlu değişimi fark edebilme ve motive olabilme, 3-Araştırılan fenomen ya da süreci yeniden değerlendirebilme olarak alt temalara ayrılmıştır. Olumsuz yönleri ise 1-Travmatik deneyimleri yeniden yaşatması ve 2-Yansıtılan deneyimin düşünülenden daha kötü olduğunun farkına varılması şeklinde tematize edilmiştir. Sonuç: Bu çalışma sonucunda video-yansıtma yönteminin olumlu ve olumsuz yönleri ortaya konmuştur. Yöntemin avantajları, bireylerin video-yansıtma yapılan olgu ya da deneyimle ilgili duygu ve düşüncelerini gözden geçirmelerine olanak sağlaması ve travmatik yaşantıların üstesinden gelmelerini kolaylaştırmasıdır. Yöntemin dezavantajı ise travmatik yaşantıları hatırlatıp yeniden yaşanmasına sebep olabilmesidir. Ancak olumsuz etkileri olumlu olanlara göre çok daha az yaşandığı için yöntemin hemşirelik alanında ve farklı hasta grupları ile kullanıma uygun olduğu düşünülmektedir.

Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate the video-reflexion method used in a nursing research project by the participants. Methods: The study was conducted as a methodology evaluation research. In this study, the participants of another nursing research conducted as video-reflexive participatory action research were asked to evaluate the video-reflexion method. For this purpose, interviews were held with 19 participants to whom the method was applied and the data obtained were subjected to qualitative analysis. Results: According to the results of the study, the evaluations of the participants about the video-reflexion method were examined under a core category with the title "Projection of Video-Reflexion". Under this core category, there are two themes: advantages and disadvantages of the video-reflexive method. Advantages of the video-reflexive method divided into sub-themes as: 1-Making sense of and explaining the reflexed experience, 2-Being able to notice positive change and motivating, 3-Being able to re-evaluate the investigated phenomenon or process. Disadvantages of the video-reflexive method were thematized as 1-Re-living traumatic experiences and 2-Realizing that the reflexed experience was worse than thought. Conclusion: As a result of this study, the positive and negative aspects of the video-reflexion method were revealed. The advantage of the method is that it enables individuals to review their feelings and thoughts about the reflexed phenomenon or experience, and to make it easier to overcome traumatic experiences. Disadvantage of the method is to remind traumatic experiences and relive them. However, since the negative effects are much less experienced than the positive ones, it is thought that the method is suitable for use in the field of nursing and with different patient groups.
