Abstract

In addition to the fact that smartphones make human life easier, it emerges over time that they have negative effects. Addiction to the phone manifests itself with symptoms such as paying bills at high rates, irrational and exaggerated reactions when the phone is lost or forgotten to take it with him. In addition, recently, phone addiction has become one of the triggers for the onset of some serious diseases. The aim of this study is to apply explanatory factor analysis, one of the statistical analysis methods, to the results of our own sample, which we applied to the smartphone addiction scale, and to determine the most important factors. Explanatory factor analysis was performed using SPSS in statistical analysis of the obtained data. As a result, 5 factors were obtained.
