First Records of Sexually Mature Seriola Fasciata Individuals in the Mediterranean Sea

Özet

The 1810Carangidae family includes 149 species belonging to 30 genera living in all tropical and temperate seas. Of these genera, Seriola includes 9 species. Four of these species are found in the Mediterranean, namely Seriola dumerili, S. rivoliana, S. carpenteri and S. fasciata. The presence of S. fasciata in different regions in the Mediterranean were reported. In the present study, the first presence of adult individuals of S. fasciata and other distributions in the Mediterranean were reported.
