Abstract
Background. Transplantation has become the therapy of choice for patients with organ failure. However, the low rate of consent by families of donor-eligible patients is a major limiting factor in the success of organ transplantation. Therefore, it is important to determine the attitudes of the society about transplantation and then plan appropriate interventions. This study was conducted to document public perceptions regarding organ transplantation in a primary healthcare region in Turkey.
