The main purpose of this study is to discuss whether there is a relationship between the composition of the board
composition and organizational performance. In reality, whether there is such a relationship or not, what kind
of relationship it is, is evaluated through the studies done in the literature. As a result of the study, it has been
determined that the effects of the board composition, which are still the focus of attention of many researchers,
on organizational performance are evaluated on the basis of the structure of the board composition, the size of
the board composition and the leadership structure of the board composition, but there are contradictions
between the results achieved. These contradictions point to the inclusion of different parameters in research on
the subject.
