Bireyin toplumsal hayattaki konumunu belirleyen çalışma olgusu modern hayatın en önemli kavramlarından biridir. Farklı alanlardan birçok araştırmacı toplumsal hayatın içinde çalışma kavramının önemini ortaya koymuştur. Çalışma, yaşamanın önemli bir koşulu olarak görülse de günümüzde bu olguya bundan çok daha fazla anlam yüklenmiş, her şeyden önce çalışma artık kimliğin bir unsuru olarak görülmüştür. Tarihsel perspektiften bakıldığında "çalışma" kavramının algılanışı farklı devirlerde değişiklikler göstermiştir. Değişikliklerde kültürel kodlar, teknolojik anlayışlar, sosyal gelişme düzeyleri gibi nedenler etkili olmuştur. Bu çalışmada plazalarda yoğun baskı altında çalışan beyaz yakalı sınıfın ekonomik, psikolojik ve sosyal hayatının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. İnceleme Hakan Bıçakcı’nın Doğa Tarihi adlı romanı çerçevesinde yapılacaktır. Buradan hareketle romandan makalenin araştırma konusunu temel alacak şekilde, ana kahramanın hayatından pasajlar seçilerek değerlendirilecektir. Çalışmanın iki temel çıkış noktası bulunmaktadır. İlki plaza çalışanları olarak tanımlanan beyaz yakalı sınıfın incelenmesi, diğeri ise kurgu eserlerin genelde sosyal bilimler özelde işletme alanına farklı perspektifler açabileceği düşüncesidir
The phenomenon of work, which determines the individual's position in social life, is one of the most important concepts of modern life. Many researchers from different fields have shown the importance of the phenomenon of working in social life. Although working is seen as an important condition for living, today this phenomenon has been given much more meaning, and above all, work has now been seen as an element of identity. From a historical perspective, the perception of the concept of "work" has shown changes in different periods. Factors such as cultural codes, technological understandings, levels of social development have been effective in these changes. In this study, it is aimed to examine the economic, psychological and social life of the white collar class working under intense pressure in the plazas. This review will be conducted within the framework of Hakan Bıçakcı's novel Doğa Tarihi. Based on this, passages from the life of the main hero will be selected and evaluated from the novel, based on the research subject of the article. There are two main starting points of the study. The first is the examination of the whitecollar class considered as plaza employees, and the other is the idea that works of fiction can open different perspectives in the field of business administration.
