In this research, three depth-control components were evaluated with maize and watermelon seeds in two different field conditions. Runner and double-disc openers were used with each depth-control. The vertical and horizontal distribution of seeds in the soil and percentage of emerged seedlings were determined to evaluate performance of depth-control components. The horizontal distribution of seeds was described by using the mean, standard deviation, and coefficient of variation of seed spacings. The vertical distribution of seeds was described by using the distribution area of seeds in addition to the mean, standard deviation, and coefficient of variation of seeding depths.
