Abstract

In this study, we derive the Noether symmetries of the Klein-Gordon equation in the background of some pp-wave spacetimes. To get the Klein-Gordon equation in some of the pp-wave spacetimes, where the metric function H(u, y, z) of the pp-wave spacetime is taken as H = K (az - by)(-2) and H = Ke(2)(ay-bz), we construct a Lagrangian of the model. Using the obtained Lagrangian for those spacetimes, we calculate and classify Noether symmetry generators. Furthermore, we give conservation laws for the corresponding Noether symmetries of the Klein-Gordon equation in the considered pp-wave spacetimes.
