Özet

Tomato is the most cultivated and important vegetable group in worldwide, the plant pathogens threat production especially in greenhouses.Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis (Cmm) is responsible for bacterial wilt and canker disease is one of the tomato's most dangerousbacterial diseases. Although some chemical management methods are available for Cmm, these chemicals negatively affect human andenvironmental health. However, there is no resistant cultivar against Cmm, even if using resistant cultivars is the most eco-friendly method.Understanding the genes associated with Cmm resistance is essential to generate resistant cultivars, and other approaches, such as transgene orgene-editing technologies, are necessary for controlling the disease (Safarnejad et al., 2011). For this reason, we have used SSR markers and NGS todetermine Cmm-resistance in M3-9 and M3-15 previously obtained from the susceptible NBEBR3 by EMS application (Calis and Karabulut, 2022). TheCmm-associated polymorphic regions were investigated with SSR markers in genomes of these tomato lines and whole genomes of these mutantsand NCEBR3 were sequenced by Illumina HiSeq.
