DEVELOPING GREEN UNIVERSITY CONCEPTS INNOVATIONS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION IN KAZAKHSTAN
Abstract
Today, humanity needs high-quality environmental education programs to promote values and change behavior in the direction of sustainable development and environmental protection. Assessing the environmental knowledge of today's people through questionnaires provides a very effective way to improve these educational programs and allow them to succeed in achieving most of their goals and objectives. Methods of assessing students' environmental knowledge through questionnaires are rarely used, especially in institutions implementing environmental education programs. This article presents the results of the survey, which is a theoretical and conceptual framework for improving the environmental literacy of citizens of Kazakhstan and the development of environmental education. The questionnaire consists of 10 questions. 230 students took part in the survey. As a result of the survey, students analyzed the issues of environmental protection and the creation of a green university, environmental education. According to the general survey, the citizens of Kazakhstan are interested in receiving environmental education in a new, modern way, with information and communication technologies. And wants to take an active part in environmental activities.
