Özet

Writing instruction goes beyond acquiring rudimentary writing skills and mastering discrete grammar rules and vocabulary knowledge. As argued, linguistic forms are socially constructed in response to the functions they are required to perform. Therefore, stylistics becomes essential for foreignlanguage learning and teaching practices mainly because it investigates how literary and nonliterary texts are understood to convey their meanings. From this standpoint, this chapter focuses on pedagogical stylistics, SDGs, and language teaching, particularly on disability, and suggested materials to realize the goals set. Therefore, following a functional approach to learning and teaching ordinary language as a component and extension of developing students’ skills, this chapter also aims to create language-teaching materials conducive to building a sustainable future.
