Abstract

TAC-Integrator an integrated data management and analysis system is described here. TAC-Integrator, identifies, standardizes, stores and integrates both laboratory and epidemiological data from various surveillance and epidemiological studies that are using TaqMan low density quantitative real time PCR (RT-qPCR) array based method for multiple pathogens detection. Because of generating detailed information about pathogens leads to significantly larger amounts of data, it is necessary to develop automated analysis and storage methods to reduce analysis and data retrieval time and to standardize identification criteria. This is especially important for multiplepathogen assays designed to reduce assay time and costs. To facilitate the automated analysis, TAC-Integrator provides a unique algorithm that automates CT value prediction reducing the data analysis time significantly. TAC-Integrator web interface provides various Meta data selection, analysis and retrieval of a pathogen’s infection statistics with respect to patient’s, location and date relevance. The TAC-Integrator system provides an integrated geospatial surveillance system connecting pathogens and diseases, and pathogens and patients that help to identify the extent of outbreak locations. TAC-Integrator provides greater understanding of the viral and bacterial pathogens with patients and infectious diseases and helps to identify co-infections.
