Özet

The aim of the study was to determine the importance of training of workers and agricultural extension on the subject of occupational health and safety in agriculture sector according to the research results and reports. In the world, over 50% of the global workforce is working in agriculture sector. Agriculture sector is one of the most dangerous sectors in terms of occupational health and safety. Thousands of people die and become disabled every year because of occupational accidents or work-related diseases. All over the world extension, service suppliers serve on different subjects (producing, productivity, food quality, safety, marketing etc.). Mostly in developed countries, occupational health and safety is also an overemphasized subject. However, in developing countries, the number of people who are affected from occupational accidents or work-related diseases are more than in developed countries, it is not emphasized adequately on this subject.
