Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the socialization levels of female university students who do and who do not do sports. The population of the study consists of 603 female university students in the various faculties of Gaziantep University, Akdeniz University, Mersin University and 19 Mayis University of whom 323 do sports and of whom 280 do not do sports. For the study's aim, socialization scale was used. For the analysis and interpretation of the data, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Mann-Whitney U test and Two Way ANOVA test were used and the significance was taken to be p < 0.05. SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) was used for the evaluation of the data and finding the calculated values. As the result of the study, the socialization levels of the students who do sports were found to be higher than the socialization levels of the students who do not do sports.
