Abstract
Plant materials are important part in landscaping and in creating new places and accordingly perennial plants are one of the large material groups widely used in planting design which maintains a sustainable exchange between man and nature. In recent years conservation of natural resources has become a key issue for sustainability in landscaping whereas native plants greatly contribute. Native herbaceous perennials from Termessos National Park, Antalya, Turkey were evaluated regarding to their colour in red, yellow, purple, pink and white respectively. Varieties in colour, plant height, flowering time, habitat and growing altitude of these species showed us that there is great potential of native herbaceous perennials in planting design to create plant compositions that are well maintained attractive, dynamic and advancing landscapes all the year around.
