Özet

This study examines the influence of green transformational leadership on employees’ green behavior, emphasizing the mediating role of green intrinsic motivation. Data were collected from 404 employees across 41 plastic manufacturing companies located in the Antalya Organized Industrial Zone, using a convenience sampling method. Structural equation modeling was employed to examine the proposed relationships, with analyses conducted via SPSS 23 and LISREL 8.7. The results reveal that green transformational leadership significantly and positively affects employee green behavior, both directly and indirectly through green intrinsic motivation. These findings underscore the importance of fostering both environmentally oriented leadership and intrinsic motivation to promote green behaviors among employees. The study offers valuable implications for policymakers and organizational leaders in the plastic sector, particularly in developing countries, by highlighting the role of green transformational leadership in enhancing sustainability-oriented workplace behaviors.
