Özet
Attachment theory is an influential theory about how early interactions with caregivers can shape working models of the self and others. Infants whose caregivers are responsive to their needs form secure attachments and see themselves and others as valuable and trustable. Infants whose caregivers behave inconsistently and/or are unresponsive to their needs form insecure attachments. The general attachment style formed early in life has a profound influence on subsequent relationships later in life, although experiences with other attachment figures during an individual's lifetime may modify the attachment style.
