Abstract

ObjectiveNondippers are known to carry a high risk of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of dipper and nondipper status of hypertension on left atrial (LA) systolic and diastolic functions using two-dimensional speckle tracking echocardiography (2D-STE), P-wave dispersion (PWD), and P terminal force (PTF) in hypertensive patients.
